What New Features Can We Expect from the iPhone 15?

WOW! IPHONE 15 New features

Recent CAD-based renders shared by 9to5Mac have given us a glimpse of the upcoming non-Pro version of the iPhone 15, just a week after renders of the iPhone 15 Pro emerged. The renders show two significant changes from the previous model, the iPhone 14. The first is a larger 6.2-inch display, and the second is the replacement of the notch with a Dynamic Island pill-shaped cutout. These changes are expected to enhance the user experience and set new standards for the smartphone industry.

In addition to the Dynamic Island pill-shaped cutout, the upcoming iPhone 15 will also feature a significant hardware change: a switch from the traditional Lightning port to the more modern USB-C connector at the bottom of the device. This update will bring the iPhone’s charging and data transfer capabilities more in line with other contemporary devices. Meanwhile, the left-hand side of the device will retain its mute switch and volume controls, allowing for easy access to frequently used features.

According to a recent report, the physical buttons on the iPhone 15’s left-hand side will likely remain physical buttons, rather than being replaced with the previously rumoured capacitive ones. Meanwhile, on the back of the device, there will be a dual camera setup with diagonally placed sensors, similar to the arrangement found on some previous iPhone models.

Understanding iPhone Warranty: What You Need to Know

Understanding iPhone Warranty: What You Need to Know

The iPhone is a popular smartphone device produced by Apple, and it comes with a standard warranty that provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship. The iPhone warranty covers the device for a limited period of time and offers repair or replacement options for certain issues that arise during this period.

Here are some key details you should know about the iPhone warranty:

  1. 1.Standard Warranty Period: The standard warranty period for an iPhone is one year from the date of purchase. During this time, Apple will repair or replace any defective parts or malfunctions that occur due to a manufacturing defect.
  2. 2.Additional Coverage: Apple offers an extended warranty program called AppleCare+ that can provide additional coverage for up to two years. This program extends the warranty coverage to cover accidental damage and allows for repairs at a reduced cost.
  3. 3.Warranty Eligibility: To be eligible for the standard iPhone warranty, you must have purchased the device from an authorized Apple reseller or directly from Apple. The warranty does not cover damages that occur due to misuse or accidents.
  4. 4.Warranty Repairs: If you experience an issue with your iPhone that is covered by the warranty, you can take it to an Apple Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or contact Apple Support to arrange a repair or replacement.
  5. 5.Warranty Exclusions: The iPhone warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, unauthorized repairs or modifications, normal wear and tear, or damage from exposure to liquids.

In conclusion, the iPhone warranty provides protection against defects in materials and workmanship for a limited period of time. If you experience an issue that is covered by the warranty, Apple will repair or replace the device. It’s important to note that the warranty does not cover damages caused by accidents, misuse, or exposure to liquids.

Twenty Twenty-two Travel

So, we’re in a new lunar year. Roar!

With data from many countries suggesting that the world should now be better prepared even if another Covid variant-of-concern mutates into existence, regional and international travels to visit long-missed friends and family are coming back into consideration.

We still remember that the March school holidays was a popular time to cross borders for fun in pre-Covid times. Two years that feels like decades have passed.

With Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) considerations now a mainstream concern, it might be helpful to do a little background research on the culture of the destination, such as how plastic bags are used or how waste is disposed in the country. If in doubt, we think one can just do as the locals do.

We are optimistic that more countries should be opening for visits this year. Don’t think we’ll have to spend another one hundred years in solitude or wait until 2046!

Anyway, here, we gently remind our customers to remember to bring charging cables, charging ports and power banks (which can be purchased at our shops) , and universal travel adaptors for regional or international visits. Remember also to download the Covid app of the country you’ll be visiting if traveling soon.

Stay safe, everyone!

We’re working on Climate Change

Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice, as the poet Robert Frost puts it.

Climate action is gaining ground. The 2021 natural disasters that unfolded all around the world, right after the initial impact of Covid-19, affected us as well. For Zu’es Connections, our retail business and supply chains were disrupted when local, regional and global customers, colleagues, suppliers and their friends and families came face-to-face with these events.

The two main trades we work on that help against climate change and human catastrophe are in our repair and trade-in businesses. By repairing a phone to prolong its lifespan if possible and by participating in a secondary market where customers can sell their phones, it is part of our job to help nature grow back before more lives are lost.

We hope to help our customers navigate a better future, buying, selling and repairing phones with them, to always be of assistance for the best of their needs and for the planet as well.

This note began with a quote from a poet. Now it will end with one from another.

但愿人长久, as the poet Su Shi puts it. May our common humanity continue.
